Prof. Danilo Cialoni is the founder of the Cupid 4 Science project.
A renowned expert in diving medicine and physiology, he has co-authored numerous scientific publications and conducted over 20 years of research on the physiological effects of diving and extreme environments.
Prof. Cialoni has been closely involved with important research centers, and Apnea Academy, making significant contributions to research on human adaptation in underwater environments.
A passionate advocate for sustainability, his work bridges the gap between science, ocean conservation, and human performance.
The Cupid 4 Science project reflects his deep love for the sea, his expertise in research, and his extensive experience in leading scientific initiatives.
Davide Bastiani
Davide Bastiani Project Manager & Researcher
Davide Bastiani is a seasoned diver and experienced Scuba Diving Instructor and Dive School Director.
With a strong background in engineering, he has been exploring the underwater world since 1982.
His innovative spirit has led to the development of advanced software, web portals, and apps to support the diving community, and his leadership in dive centers worldwide has provided him with extensive expertise in marine environments and ocean conservation.
As a Project Manager and Researcher at Cupid 4 Science, Davide merges his engineering acumen with his passion for diving to promote sustainable ocean practices, marine research, and ocean conservation awareness.
His lifelong dedication to protecting our oceans continues to inspire others to take action and safeguard marine ecosystems.
Raffaella Colleoni

Raffaella Colleoni, a passionate globetrotter and experienced professional in the tourism industry, moved to the Maldives 15 years ago, where she eventually became the General Manager of an eco-friendly hotel.
Surrounded daily by the breathtaking ocean, she developed a deep concern for the health of the seas. Driven by her commitment to sustainability and ocean conservation, Raffaella has focused her career on aligning tourism with environmental responsibility.
She strives to offer visitors an authentic experience of the Maldives’ natural wonders while minimizing their ecological footprint. Raffaella is eager to apply her expertise in eco-tourism and marine conservation to support and promote the Cupid 4 Science project, advance its sustainable initiatives, and contribute to meaningful global change.
Andrea Covelli

Andrea Covelli is a key contributor to the Cupid 4 Science project, bringing extensive experience in both aviation and marine research.
As an Airline Captain, he sees the world from above and dreams of seeing the ocean as clean as the sky.
A certified diving instructor and Director of a diving school, Andrea has trained divers and led initiatives focused on underwater navigation, safety, and environmental awareness.
Passionate about marine science, he has contributed to research projects, specializing in underwater exploration and the development of software tools for data collection and analysis.
Andrea’s unique background allows him to make valuable contributions to the project, advancing citizen science and environmental monitoring.
Dr. Andrea Brizzolari

Dr. Andrea Brizzolari brings invaluable expertise to the Cupid 4 Science team
with his deep knowledge of human physiology in extreme environments.
His extensive background in biochemistry and analytical chemistry, combined
with his passion for diving and commitment to scientific research, makes him
a valuable asset to our mission. Since 2017, Dr. Brizzolari has been collaborating
with Prof. Danilo Cialoni, and his work has significantly advanced our understanding
of the effects of marine and high-altitude environments on the human body.
His expertise in developing analytical methods and procedures is essential in helping
us collect and analyze data related to oceanic plastic pollution and the health of marine ecosystems—issues that are central to our projects.
